Appliances Cleaning Tips
When it comes time to clean, a major part of cleaning is making sure to get the dirt and grime off of your appliances. There is a ton of information out there for how to clean your appliances. Each appliance will have a different way to clean since they do not all function in the same way, and it is important that you follow the methods for each appliance so that you do not damage the appliance in any way.
The dishwasher is probably the easiest appliance to clean since it does not require that you have to use much elbow grease. You can simply run a cycle that is empty of all dishes, with vinegar placed into the soap dispensers. This will clean the grime off of the dishwasher and then it will also help to deodorize the entire dishwasher. Many people take the cleaning a step further, by placing baking soda into the bottom of the dishwasher so that the reaction scrubs the walls and the bottom of the dishwasher.
Coffee makers are those appliances that you must clean in order for your coffee to taste better, and the fact that without cleaning the pot and the insides will begin to look as if it is coated with old coffee. To clean this appliance you have many options. First, you can use a combination of half water and half vinegar and run through a cycle without coffee grounds in the maker. This will help to remove any coffee that is left over and also disinfect. Many people choose to simply put water into the coffee maker and deposit a denture tablet into the water tank in order to get rid of hard water buildup.
The microwave is a bit harder to clean since it does require that you put a little elbow grease into removing the stuck on stains and food that has accumulated on the insides of the microwave. However, to make your job a little easier, warm up a cup of water with vinegar in it for around two or three minutes. The water vinegar mix will help to loosen some of the harder stuck on stains and food so that you can remove it easily with a rag, and soap and water.
The stove is an appliance that needs to be regularly cleaned. If you do not then you have food that is just sitting there and it will more than likely start to attract all kinds of insects. This is why you should raise the top of the stove up and simply vacuum up any crumbs that you see. You can also use a water and vinegar spray on the appliance and wipe it off. This way you do not have to worry about fumes that may occur if you use a chemical and then turn the stove on later. Also, be sure to clean the oven out and remove any crumbs. You may have to utilize an oven cleaner, be sure to wear gloves and eye protection because these oven cleaners can be very harmful if breathed in or they come in contact with your skin.
